MUMBAI: A couple was found hanging at their rented home in a Malad chawl on Sunday. Police said, the two were having an extramarital affair with each other and died by suicide.
An accidental death case was recorded by Malad police. Deceased Ranjitsingh Yadav, 33, used to work as a chauffeur for a suburban family.
On May 29, he went to his hometown in Uttar Pradesh after developing a skin breakout. On June 3, he returned with Guddidevi Harijan, 35. They rented an accommodation at Valnai in Malad.
On Sunday, they were supposed to head back to UP. But, when Yadav's employer went to his house, nobody answered. He informed the police, who broke into the house and found the couple hanging from a hook in the ceiling. They were rushed to Babasaheb Ambedkar Hospital where the doctors pronounced them dead.
