MUMBAI: For the second time in a week, a prematurely born foetus has been found in the toilet of Pawan Express. The GRP has lodged FIR against the unidentified mother under IPC section 318 (concealment of birth by secret disposal of dead body).
Around 6.15 am on Thursday, police constable Sadat Salim Kharadi found the foetus dumped in the dustbin of a toilet in the general coach. The foetus was sent to a hospital. "We have checked the chart of reserved passengers and are inquiring if there was a pregnant woman onboard. We are also checking CCTV footage," said a senior officer from Kurla GRP.
