Mumbai: Actor Garima Jain's mobile stolen from pub near domestic airport

MUMBAI: The Airport police registered a case against an unknown person for stealing a mobile phone worth Rs1 lakh belonging to Bollywood actor-singer Garima Jain (28) on April 2. The mobile was stolen when the actor Garima Jain had gone with her friends for a party in a pub at a hotel near the domestic airport.

After attending the party, Jain left the pub along with her friends at around 3.15 am when she realised that she had failed to take her phone while trying to call one of her friends. "We have sought the closed-circuit television (CCTV) grabs from inside the pub to identify the person who has stolen the mobile. Meanwhile, the staff at the pub too are called for questioning," said a police officer at the Airport police station.

In the complaint, Jain said, "I had kept the mobile on the sofa set where we had sat for around an hour and a half before we left. When I failed to locate my mobile which was switched off. I inquired with the manager and the waiter at the pub but they too told me that they did not find any such mobile." Jain then approached the Airport police and filed a complaint about theft.

Jain is a trained singer & Kathak dancer who was featured in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2009 for attempting 1000 rounds in 9 minutes and 2 seconds. She has acted in the role of the scribe in Mardaani 2 featuring Rani Mukherji as a cop.
