MUMBAI: An accused in a case of a murder attempt on industrialist Nusli Wadia, has moved the special CBI court alleging that the investigating agency seems to have been wilfully shielding and trying to avoid arraying industrialist Mukesh Ambani as an accused. Accused Ivan Sequira in his plea alleged that the industrialist seemed to be the mastermind or conspirator.
“The applicant (Sequira) states that the sheer length of time that the investigation and the trial had taken indicates that the takeover of the investigation by the CBI was malafide and designed to protect powerful individuals,” the plea said.
