Mumbai: 35-year-old man kills 60-year-old man over 'theft' of mobile phone, watch in Bhiwandi

BHIWANDI: A 35-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly killing a 60-year-old man using a hard object over doubts of stealing his mobile phone and watch from the staff room in Bhiwandi in Maharashtra's Thane district.

Sherbahadur Singh, who hails from Jaunpur district in Uttar Pradesh, is working at a powerloom unit in Bhiwandi where in the same building he was residing with other workers, including deceased Iqbal Ansari (60) at the staff room.

A Shanti Nagar police official said, on August 9, they found Ansari's body at Khan compound area in Bhiwandi.

Senior police inspector Sheetal Raut formed a team which found that Singh had gone missing.

The police traced Singh who was hiding at a closed powerloom unit on Thursday.

Singh claimed that he had doubts on Ansari that he had stolen his mobile phone and watch from the staff room.
