A mum who was mauled to death by a pack of pit bulls while visiting another home in Australia has been remembered as a "beautiful, darling friend."
Amanda Carmichael was savagely attacked by three cross-breed terriers when meeting friends in Maryborough, Queensland, at about 9am on Tuesday.
The 41-year-old was said to be a well-liked member of her community with a "heart of gold" and a beloved mum, the Mirror reported.
The dogs were put down after officers seized them from a shed at the property, Fraser Coast mayor George Seymour has said.
When emergency services arrived at the home, they found Amanda suffering from critical injuries to her neck, chest and arm.

They battled to save her life but she died at the scene while others present kept the dogs confined.
The canines are understood to have been taken to the property that morning by their owners before the tragedy.
David Kindelan, a friend of Ms Carmichael, told The Chronicle she had endured a "troubled few years" but was always friendly and good company.
Rhiannan Terare paid tribute to Ms Carmichael on Facebook, writing in a post: “Fly high my beautiful darling friend Amanda.

“Thoughts go out to your family through this sad time. You will be missed, ever so dearly loving you always.”
Maryborough Acting Inspector Wade Lee said initial inquiries suggest that the death was "a very tragic accident".

"There's no criminality involved; it's just tragic and sad," he said.
Mayor Seymour said: "“The dogs were immediately detained and were euthanised last night after the owner surrendered the dogs and police gave their approval," the Brisbane Times reports.
A report for the coroner is being prepared ahead of an inquest.
