Mum who was dumped by husband for best friend wins double lottery jackpot

A woman who had been downtrodden as her husband left her for her best friend, and came close to losing her home, has had a master stroke of luck.

The mum found herself in a double lottery win worth £268,000, reports the Mirror. Two lottery tickets was all it took to solve her financial troubles.

And while she celebrated the amazing win, she received a "flirtarious" call from her ex to congratulate her. Unsurprisingly, the woman gave him the quick brush-off.

The woman was in financial turmoil and close to losing her home when she decided to buy lottery tickets by the firm Supergiros. This firm is where you get the jackpot by winning two draws - which is considered almost impossible.

Yet she had the winning ticket 8628 in the El Sinuano lottery and 1935 in the Caribbean night draw. Keeping the woman anonymous, local media outlet Zona Cero has told how she was a seamstress and was days away from losing her home as she could not afford to pay the mortgage.

The daughter of the lottery winner had also not been able to register again for university, due to a lack of funds. As a last hope, the woman bought the ticket on January 17.

This date was, by chance, also a year to the day that her husband had left her for her best friend - which had also left her in trouble financially.

The mum was reportedly "trembling" when she discovered she had won the huge amount of money - which was one of the biggest ever jackpots claimed in the South American country where the average monthly salary is £800.

It is also believed to be the biggest amount ever won in the Supergiros lottery that she took part in.
