A mum who was 'dreading' a trip to Pontins says she was 'shocked' at how clean her chalet was.
Kirsty Bamping, from Manchester, impulsively booked the trip to the Southport holiday park due to not being able to go abroad.
She told the Liverpool Echo she was 'dreading' it beforehand, but was left pleasantly surprised after arriving at her accommodation.
"I asked my friends if they'd come with me and they said 'no way, it's disgusting'", Kirsty said.

"I'd read the bad reviews and I was dreading it to be honest.
"I am a clean freak so I took so many cleaning products with me."
But Kirsty said she was 'shocked' at how clean her chalet was.
"I couldn't believe the chalet when I saw it. Everything was spotless, the kitchen, everywhere", she said.
"I scrubbed the pans, because I always do that, but they didn't even need it.
"The bedding was all brand new, too.
"I was so shocked. Not a speck of dust in sight, I even asked for an extra pillow and it came within five minutes.
"It is basic, but that is to be expected for the price.
"The entertainment was brilliant, I can't knock any of it to be honest. I'd definitely go back."
A Pontins Southport group has been set up on Facebook.
The group is private, though a publicly viewable description says it is a 'neutral group' for potential guests and holidaymakers to 'ask questions or help others'.
One member posted: "We go knowing it’s rough and ready always take all my cleaning stuff. It might seem clean when you walk in but on closer inspection everything is minging!" [sic]
Other posts say accommodation has been clean on arrival.
The ECHO approached Pontins owners Britannia for a comment, but had not responded by the time of publication.
