Mum who spent nearly £3,000 a year on takeaways undergoes epic transformation

A mum who spent nearly £3000 on takeaways a year has undergone an incredible transformation.

Becky Marshall had recently become a mum for the first time and found fast food the most convenient option.

But with ordering several takeaways a week and cooking regular fry ups with her husband Craig, Becky soon found herself making more unhealthy choices.

Choosing to overhaul her lifestyle, Becky asked for Ranvir Singh's help on ITV's Eat, Shop, Save.

It soon became apparent to Ranvir that the family were spending far too much money on fast food and supermarket shops.

In fact, it was found that Becky and Craig were spending a whopping £2,860 per year on takeout food.

They were also barely exercising which, combined with their love of junk food, was causing a lack of self-confidence.

Becky told Ranvir: "I want to live a long life and give (their daughter) Bonnie the best life possible."

Craig added: "We want to both be confident. I want to get my energy levels up and not feel tired and be my age."

Ranvir brought in her team of experts including a nutritionist and fitness guru to overhaul Becky and Craig's life.

But four weeks into the challenge, things got a lot harder as the UK was thrown into lockdown.

Craig was continuing his job in the office while Becky was working at home while looking after their baby.

And the stressful times made it harder to resist old habits, with Becky ordering a doner kebab after a difficult two days.

However, with a bit of willpower things soon got back on track.

Becky said: "I'm just more conscious of what I'm putting in my body.

"I find if I'm peckish later on I'm having fruit or nuts. I've got jeans that are starting to feel loose on me which is great."

By the end of the 10-week challenge, Becky had lost a stone in weight and saved £570.
