Over the last few days, the streets of Edinburgh have been packed with thousands of people as many hope to catch a glimpse of the Queen's final journey or our new King Charles III. But one Royal follower at the procession in Edinburgh on Monday was lucky enough to have met Queen Elizabeth II and receive a handwritten letter from the now Queen Consort, Camilla.
Susan Crowther, 62, from Pontefract had not planned to be in the city for the procession, but while at a church service near her home over the weekend, something changed.
"Something just came over me," Susan, who was waiting at the barriers along the Royal Mile for the procession to start, told The Mirror.
"I knew I had to be in Edinburgh for the procession today, so I got a place in Leith as that was the closest place to stay with parking at such short notice."

For Susan, this was an important moment to pay her respects to Queen Elizabeth II, as she had been lucky enough to meet the Queen at her Golden Jubilee visit to Leeds in 2002.
"When the Queen visited Leeds for her 50th-year celebration on the throne, I went with my daughter to see her. We got right to the front and my daughter was wearing a hat with a Union Jack on it," Susan explained.
"When the Queen passed us she walked right over to us and took the flowers we had brought for her. She then turned right to my daughter and said 'I like your hat'".
That was not the only interaction Susan has had with royalty, however, as she wrote a letter to the now King and Queen Consort following their wedding.
"I was so surprised to get a reply and it was from Camilla," said Susan.

Susan is not the only monarchist in her family as her mother was awarded an MBE for her services to the community.
"When my mother received her MBE years ago she was sort of hoping it would be Charles to do it, she loved him. Then it turned out to actually be Charles she was so thrilled, she was a real monarchist," described Susan.
For Susan, it was a special moment to be able to pay her respects in Edinburgh yesterday to the Queen who had been such an integral part of her and her family's life over the years.
