Mum who helped family through heartache is our Say It With Flowers winner

After suddenly losing her son two-months-ago, Mary Kidd was nominated for our Say it With Flowers competition by her family for helping them cope with the heartbreak.

James Kidd put his beloved mum Mary, who he described as the most kind and caring person, for the flowers to show his appreciation for her love and support over the years.

James added: “My mum has been through a horrible few months after suddenly losing my brother David.

“The way she has dealt with it herself and how she has supported the full family through it all has been lovely. She’s so caring and kind and really deserves this.

“I want her to know how much we appreciated her love and support. She has done so much for her three children our whole life. We all love her so much.”

Mary’s son David sadly died on February 9 after being rushed to University Hospital Wishaw.

The 22-year-old dad-of-one had been suffering with severe headaches, vomiting, blurred vision and confusion on and off since November.

At the time of his passing, David’s uncle said his family were living a nightmare as they mourned the death of their ‘big, happy lad’.

We delivered Mary this stunning bouquet - courtesy of Newmains florist Pixie’s Petals - at her home in Wishaw last week.

James said his mum was honoured to have been nominated for the flowers and was delighted with the surprise.

He added: “She still has good days and bad days, so this is just to show her we all care.”
