A mother who flew into a rage and battered a teacher at her kid's school has revealed the consequences have affected her mental health, as she issues a warning to other parents to not do what she did.
At Wolverhampton Crown Court on August 2, Chantae Mitchell admitted assault ocassioning actual bodily harm and was given a nine-month prison sentence, suspended for 19 months.
She attacked a supply teacher at Birmingham’s Hall Green Primary School gates. During the violence on March 15, Ms Mitchell, clutching a mobile phone, repeatedly struck her victim who was later taken to hospital by ambulance.
She used the mobile phone to contact police immediately after the attack, Birmingham Live reported.

“Don’t do it because there are consequences,” she said. “It feels as if my life is over. I’m sitting here trying to figure out what to do with my life.”
Ms Mitchell is currently on gardening leave from her job as a care worker for children with mental health issues. Bosses are soon to meet to consider if she can continue in the role.
But she admitted: “I have been told my career path may have to change.
“What happened is not me. I am not someone who goes looking for trouble. It took me a bit of time to try to understand any of it. It got to the point where I tried to end it all. I won’t do that again.
“I feel sorry for what I did because of the consequences of what I have to deal with. I lashed out as a mother. It was an explosion of anger, a lifetime of anger came out.
“I don’t know what made me stop. I knew it was not the way, I couldn’t believe it was happening.”
