Mum warns other parents about 'Creme Egg ingredients' with horrifying picture

We all know chocolate isn't exactly healthy.

But with Easter around the corner most parents will be giving their kids a little leeway for the upcoming sugar-fest.

And one of the most famous choccie treats, Creme Eggs, will likely be on the Easter shopping list.

But one mum has sent a warning to other parents with a horrifying photo claiming to show how much sugar is contained in a single Creme Egg.

She posted the picture to Facebook after measuring out the amount of sugar next to a two pence coin to give an idea of scale.

Despite the large pile of sugar plenty of people were upfront about the fact they were still going to eat Creme Eggs,   reports the Daily Mirror

One defiant fan wrote: "I don't even care, I'm still gonna eat a multipack in one sitting on more than one occasion. Creme eggs are too good to give a s**t."

People also pointed out the amount of sugar measured out couldn't physically fit in an Creme Egg.

"Couldn't fit that much sugar in the egg. This is a lie," one fumed.

A single Creme Egg weighs just 34g, and while there's no actual figure on the ingredients saying how much sugar there is, it's believed to be between 20 and 25 grams.

Which, proportionally, is a lot, especially when you consider the NHS advises that adults should have no more than 30g of free sugars a day.
