Mum utterly transforms her kitchen for £68 using DC Fix and it looks amazing

Mum Maxine Taylor has shared pics of her incredible kitchen transformation inspired by her daughter.

Costing just £68 to pull off, the 60-year-old from Hereford used DC Fix sticky back plastic and a hair dryer to update the room.

"My daughter had used DC Fix to cover a table in her bedroom, which gave me the idea to use it to transform my kitchen," Maxine told money-saving community LatestDeals.co.uk.

"I bought the white gloss DC Fix from B&Q along with the marble effect to cover my worktops.

"I worked my way around the kitchen removing and covering each door, one at a time. The handles were removed, washed and replaced as I worked my way around."

When it came to attaching the new covering, Maxine, a pet portrait artist, had some tips.

“DC Fix sell a small applicator which is used to smooth out the air bubbles and wrinkles as the self-adhesive film is applied. I covered the drawer fronts in the same way.

"Using a hairdryer helps to soften the film so makes getting nice clean corners much easier. The only tools needed to get the look are a tape measure, scissors and a sharp craft knife.”

And despite spending less than £70, Maxine was absolutely delighted with how the kitchen turned out.

"The whole kitchen cost a grand total of £68 to transform and I absolutely love the finished result,” she said.

"It makes the kitchen look cleaner, brighter, bigger and much more modern. Everyone who has seen it loves the finished result!"
