A mum left 'traumatised' when mould took over her wardrobe has been left seriously impressed after a 'magic' spray treated the problem in under an hour.
The parent, who regularly shares cleaning advice on TikTok as @cleanwithjen, delighted followers when she showed off her brilliant results.
Revealing what went wrong, Jen explained: "A couple of weeks ago, I saw this black stuff on the bottom of the wardrobe and I just thought it was dirt from shoes, but it turns out it was mould."
The mum also found the mould had spread to a few of her bags stored inside.
"It's not good. It's really not good. I mean I don't even think I can salvage this," she said as she pulled out a bag covered in fungus.
Thankfully, the parent found a simple yet effective solution to treat her wardrobe and hopefully prevent any further damage.
Jen cleaned the affected area using Kilrock mould spray, and the bargain product, which is available for as little as £1.99, appeared to work wonders.
"As if by magic after half an hour all the mould was gone from the spray that I'd put on earlier," she revealed. She then finished the job by hanging up a wardrobe dehumidifier in the hope of preventing any further mould.
Her caption concluded: "To say my wardrobe clean was TRAUMATISING would be an understatement."
In response, several commenters were quick to share their sympathy. "I feel you! We've had such bad mould this year, it's horrible and makes me feel so dirty," read one reply. A second said: "Oh, no! So sad for your bags."
Meanwhile, others shared recommendations. "Those bags are definitely salvageable!! Look up mold wipes and hand washing. Won't take you more than an hour to do all of them!"
Someone else revealed: "I had this issue. I used the same things but also put clove oil on chalk in there. Worked a treat."
