Mum stunned after spotting 'ghost' in teen daughter's prom photo

A mum was left stunned after seeing what she believes is a "ghost" in her teenage daughter's prom photo.

Ann Marie Nelson, 43, said she felt "a shiver go up her spine" when her 16-year-old daughter Georgia Holden showed her the pictures from her high school prom.

Georgia had been posing for photos with her Notre Dame classmates at the Isla Gladstone in Stanley Park.

But when Georgia got home the next day and started looking through her pictures, she spotted a spooky figure in the corner of one snap.

Ann Marie, who lives in Kirkdale , said: "She had her prom [Tuesday night] and afterwards they went to an apartment. The next day when she was looking through her photos and she shouted 'mum, mum, there's a ghost!'

"You can see right through it - you can even see the teachers' heads right through it.

"That glass house has got a history because it's very, very old. She had no clue until she looked at her pictures this morning

"There's nobody that fits that description that was there and other people were taking pictures standing next to her and their pictures are normal. It's only hers that shows it."

The ghostly figure in the photo appears almost transparent - but a leg and black boot can clearly be made out.

While plenty of the boys at Georgia's prom were suited up in black tie, Ann Marie said it couldn't have just been one of the boys walking through the picture.

She said: "The boys were nowhere near the pictures - they all had black dickie bows on but there were only girls around her.

"She said 'mum, there was no one there'. They took they same photos at the same time."

The picture has left Ann Marie spooked - and while Georgia isn't a big believer in the paranormal, it's left her mum shocked.

She said: "My daughter believes but she says she's got to see it to believe it. That photo has really scared her because no one was there.

"I believe it's a ghost. With the history of that building and how old it is, you never know what has gone on there.

"I got shivers on my spine when I saw it."
