It might well be an innocent drawing, but a mum has spotted something rude in one of Julia Donaldson's stories and parents say they'll 'never unsee it'.
Stacey Brown was reading The Smartest Giant in Town to her two youngest children when she realised that his sock-covered foot sticking out of the end of his trousers looked like, well, errr, something else.
Such was her amazement that she'd failed to spot it when reading it to her eldest child, now 13, she decided to share it on the popular Family Lockdown Tips & Ideas Facebook page, which was recently renamed Family Lowdown.
"How have I only just noticed this in our favourite bedtime story?" said Stacey. "Dirtiest giant in town. Trying to muffle the giggles as I read on."
And it seems she wasn't the only one to think the same about the drawing, by illustrator Axel Scheffler.
Her post has received hundreds of comments from parents, agreeing the foot does indeed look like an entirely different body part.
"Oh gosh ! I’m not gonna look at this book the same way again," said one mum. "We’ve had this book since my oldest was about 5 (he’s now 13)."
Another added: "I can't unsee that now! Ever!"
But one mum said her child had already discovered the similarity, adding: "Omg my son always said it's his willy."
Mum-of-three Stacey said she was 'hugely surprised' by the response to her post.
She told the M.E.N's Manchester Family : "I thought it was just me and my dirty mind. I'm so glad it raised a lot of laughter though. People will never look at it the same again."
