A mum helping provide Christmas meals to struggling people has said "we all know what it's like to struggle".
Kirsty Lewis, from Birkenhead, is among the many volunteers who have donated their time and money to help provide Christmas dinner to families on the Wirral and beyond. Along with her partner Craig Reid, the mum-of-three is spending Christmas Eve out in the car delivering meals.
The 34-year-old told the ECHO: "Somebody I used to work with had the idea to feed families over Christmas, so we started collecting donations and then four of us deliver them to their homes."

Kirsty estimates that the volunteers have prepared more than 160 Christmas dinners for families across Merseyside this year. She added: "We've got 180 dinners going out today, all the food and presents have been donated by people in the community.
"I think we all know what it's like to struggle so it's important to help each other out as much as we can. Especially at this time of year, and when you have kids it can be really hard."
The pair have also provided a gift for children who might be without them on Christmas Day. Kirsty's sister, Tara said that her sister has gone "above and beyond" by doing this.
