A mum has been trolled after showing off her DIY elephant's head she mounted on her son's bedroom wall.
The mum took to social media to proudly boast about her efforts after making a wall-mounted animal's head from a stuffed elephant.
However the £11 decoration sparked outrage and disbelief from fellow parents who blasted her creation as "disgusting and disturbing" and accused her of 'decapitating' the cuddly toy.

The mum shared pictures of the elephant while it still had its body attached then after when it's head hung on the walls of the jungle-themed bedroom.
Posting on the DIY on a Budget Facebook page She said: I really wanted a mounted animal's head to finish my son's room off. I didn't want to pay£40-£45 for one so I decided to try and make my own. Total cost £11."
However her inventive creation left many reeling, with some saying it was "a horrible idea".
One said: "It's disturbing, especially for a child's bedroom."
Another said: "It's great, but elephants are my favourite animal. I find this a bit sad."

One mum said the child could be 'traumatised' over the wall hanging. She said: "Hope your son didn't mind you cutting the elephant's head off. He would have been traumatised. Looks good though! Would never have thought of doing something like this."
"Disgusting idea!" added another.
A fifth said: "It's not my idea of [sic] having decapitated animals on a wall, but each to their own."
"I feel sorry for the teddy, ripped apart from its head," added another.
Another said it just 'wasn't right' in a child's room. She said: "I was a bit taken aback by this idea for a kids room having just an animal head on the wall (please don't think I'm having a go or being nasty though) I personally don't think it's right for a kid's room."

Another added: "It's a horrible idea, sorry."
However not everyone agreed with some parents keen to recreate the idea in their own homes,
"This is amazing and looks so good on the wall," said one.
Another added: "This looks great. I may have to try that. What did you stick it on with please?"
After scores of negative comments the mum hit back telling people if they don't like it, to 'get a grip'.
She added: "People saying it's disgusting idea and totally wrong to have a dead animal's head on the wall (even though people have unicorn and dinosaurs heads on the wall)...It's a bl***y teddy get a grip and if you have nothing nice to say scroll along."
