Mum slams critics who say she's 'overfeeding' her daughter and packs same lunch

A mum has hit out at trolls who accused her of "overfeeding" her daughter.

Tara Clontz regularly shares what she packs for her little girl for lunch on TikTok where she's known as @tarasfarmtotable.

In a recent video, she addressed criticism from a fellow user who left the comment: "How old is she? Because to be honest you could be overfeeding her."

"On today's episode of packing lunch for preschool, I will be continuing to get as much food in this tiny lunch box as I can," she said as she filled the box with two rolls, a cheese string, three slices of turkey, a satsuma, a couple of raspberries, pretzel sticks and a chocolate chip cookie.

"Today I decided to do some deconstructed Hawaiian roll sandwiches because my daughter didn't like the sandwiches put together the other day, but she likes turkey and she likes the rolls, so, I did those separately.

"I also put a cheese stick in there and I also peeled a cutie and peeled every single tiny little white vein off because she hates that part.

"I put some raspberries in the middle then I also gave her some pretzel sticks and lastly I put a cookie in there wrapped in some parchment paper."

She refuses to put her daughter on a "diet" (TikTok/tarasfarmtotable)

Concluding the video, she added: "I will still be continuing not to put my four-year-old on a diet."

Since being posted, the video has racked up more than four million views and 17,000 comments from parents who rushed to defend the mum.

One person said: "Do people not understand that kids literally run around all day and burn so many calories! They need lots of fuel!"

Another added: "If the kid doesn't want to eat it she won't... better to put too much than too less."

"Confused because this is extremely healthy food?" wrote a third user, "I would understand the concern if it was all junk food... but it's not."

Someone else put: "I know y'all kids MUST be starving if you think that's a lot."
