Mum slammed for toddler's 'Hooters' t-shirt parents brand as 'basically grooming'

A mum has been slammed for buying her toddler a 'Hooters' t-shirt which other parents say is "basically grooming".

The woman purchased the inappropriate top for her child which bears the slogan "future Hooters girl".

On the back the top reads: "make 'em drool early" which left fellow parents outraged a mother would happily choose to put something like that on their child.

Hooters is an American restaurant which is well known for its female waiting staff wearing super-skimpy outfits.

It is particularly famous for showing off the waitresses breasts while they serve meals and is even nicknamed a "breastaurant", writes the Daily Star.

Posting on a Reddit forum, called r/Trashy, someone took a snap of the child wearing the t-shirt and the post was immediately inundated with comments from shocked readers who slammed the top as "trashy" and "disgusting" in the comments.

One person said: "The front is trashy.

"The back is basically just grooming."

While another wrote: "To the mum who thought it was cute for their daughter to wear this...

"This opens up the door for a lot of potential sexual abuse and potential body shaming.

"It is so sad to think that even from a young age, this girl is going to view herself as an object, something that has worth only as long as people around her give it to her.

"This breaks my heart."
