A mum who shot dead an intruder as her three kids were sleeping will reportedly not face any charges from police.
The Texan mother, who has not been identified but is said to be in her 30s, was at home on Thursday at 10pm with her three children when she suddenly heard an intruder breaking in.
With her three children asleep upstairs, 41-year-old Roman Rodriguez barged his way into the home, which is adjacent to South Side Lions Park, according to News 4 San Antonio.
A fence which surrounds the home was broken into with pictures taken by police showing how the robber made his way into the property.

The burglar then entered into the property through the back door into the laundry room and could be heard trying to break into the main door of the home.
When the mum heard the intruder, police say she grabbed her gun and and shot the robber twice in the chest, according to News 4 San Antonio.
And when police arrived on the scene, they found Rodriguez slumped in a chair in the garden as he bled out.

A police report confirmed Mr Rodriguez died from his wounds on the way to the hospital, with the Bexar County Medical Examiner determining he died from gunshots to his chest.
The report confirmed there were no other injuries to Rodriguez, with police still investigating the shooting.
However, the mum is reportedly not facing any charges due to the state's Castle Doctrine.
The Castle Doctrine is a legal doctrine which provides defence when the use of force against another person who is unlawfully and forcefully entering or attempting to enter one's home, vehicle or work place.
