Mum shocked after hidden image is spotted in Toblerone logo by 9 year-old son

A mum has expressed her shock after her son spotted a hidden image on packaging of a Toblerone.

Stephanie, as she is known on Twitter, went to the social media platform to announce her revelation.

She said her nine year-old son had just tried his first ever piece of Toblerone and after which became inquisitive about the packaging.

The nine year-old spotted something many people also hadn't, despite the worldwide popularity of the sweet treat, the Mirror reports.

Upon closer inspection it becomes clear that there isn't just a mountain printed on the chocolate box - there's also a bear in the two-tone logo, which is stood up on its hind legs.

Stephanie wrote in her post: "My son had his first Toblerone today."

He asked: "What's the bear for?"

To which, a little taken aback, the mum replied: "What bear?"

She added: "I was today years old when I found out there's a bear in the Toblerone logo."

Stephanie went on to explain that the reason for the bear is simple, as Toblerone bars come from Bern in Switzerland, which is "also known as the city of bears".

Thousands of others were also surprised by her son's discovery and the tweet quickly went viral, amassing over 28,000 likes and 6,700 shares.

One person commented: "I have never seen that!!! Your son is brilliant!"

Another said: "Eating them for 50 years never noticed that, your lad's a genius, in my defense the wrapper is the last thing I'm thinking about when I get one."

A third proclaimed it was "probably the most interesting thing" they had learned in 2018.
