Mum shares shocking image to warn parents exactly how much sugar is in one Cadbury Creme Egg

Easter weekend is almost upon us and children across the country will be preparing to sink their teeth into some delicious chocolate.

Running around the garden on an egg hunt, the amount of sugar in what they're eating will probably be far from their minds.

And look, we all know that chocolate isn't the most healthy thing to be eating but one mum has shared a shocking picture showing what she believes is the amount of sugar in a Creme Egg.

And if you're a die-hard fan, you may want to look away now.

"This amount of sugar in ONE Creme Egg?? Surely not...crikey!"

A Creme Egg. Lots of sugar. And a 2p (Facebook)

In the photo, she has measured out the amount of sugar and, to give you an idea of scale, included a two pence coin.

Elsewhere, Cadbury recently caused a little bit of outrage after indicating that Creme Egg was pronounced "crem" rather than "cream".

The revelation had half the Internet frothing at the mouth and the other half wondering exactly what the fuss was all about.

Fortunately, it all turned out to be a mistake, and the person running the CadburyUK Twitter account had missed out the 'A' in 'cream.
