Mum shares 'relatable' reason she waits until very last minute to do school pick up

A parent has left people in stitches after sharing the 'relatable' reason she never rushes to do the school pickup.

As the mum-of-two recognises, lots of people love getting to the school gates early so they can catch up with fellow families. But this parent isn't one of them.

Instead, she's devised a method to avoid 'chit chat' - and she waits in her car instead.

What's more, the confession appeared to resonate with many as the cheeky explanation gained thousands of views when it was shared online by @seza_gal.

Posted by UK-based mum Sarah, who regularly creates comedic sketches, the clip revealing her playground antics received over 50,000 views.

In the popular video, the parent acts out two different parenting styles.

"Mums rushing to the school playground early to chit chat to each other before pick up..." she writes . In the accompanying footage, Sarah bounds down the road as she pretends to run toward school.

However, in the next, she takes a much more relaxed approach. Sitting in her car - enjoying a Kit Kat during her alone time - she explains: "Me hiding in my car until the last second so I don't have to talk to anyone."

Her caption adds: "School playground chit chat isn't for me. I like to grab and go. Please tell me I'm not the only one."

But Sarah need not worry as it turns out she is far from the only parent to employ the tactic.

"I sneak onto the playground and stand in the far back pretending to be part of the fence," one person replied.

A second said: "I literally pay for breakfast club and after school club to avoid this," and another wrote: "My son was trained to come to the corner so I could lift him over the fence. Having to talk to no one."

Meanwhile, when another parent revealed: "I'm there slightly early cause it's the only adult conversation I get I feel isolated sometimes and the school run makes me feel better," Sarah said: "Good for you, this is just one point of view, each to their own. X"
