Mum shares genius way to tell kids off without nagging or getting 'sick of own voice'

Having children is great, but it's no secret that being a parent can sometimes have its downsides.

For instance, no one wants to turn into a nag and be constantly telling their little ones what to do to the point where you're sick of hearing your own voice.

If this is something you've been struggling with, a mum might have a helpful tip for you.

The Mum Junkie Facebook page has shared an amusing way to let your kids know when you are laying down the law without the need to raise your voice and get angry at them.

In a post they wrote: "Sick of the sound of your own voice? This is my new strategy!!"

Alongside this they shared several images of their passive-aggressive discipline method.

Each picture featured an item a child had dropped or left on the floor, like dirty socks, a toothbrush and chocolate bar wrappers as well as empty loo roll.

Beside each discarded items, a parent had placed a drawing of a face looking disappointed/angry to let them know they'd done something wrong and needed to clean it up.

The post proved to be a big hit with mums, with thousands liking and many taking the time to share comments of approval.

One person said: "Think I might use this with my grown-up children who do not know how to clean up after themselves."

Another replied: "Love it. I think i will have to do this too."

"Omg we have to do this with the kids! I fear we will spend most of our time placing them around the house tho," wrote a third.

Someone else commented: "That’s so funny! I bet mine may add some other faces to it... So gonna try it."

A different user asked: "Does it work on husbands too?"

However not everyone was convinced this method would work in their homes.

A sixth person admitted: "My kids would walk right over this."

"Would probably need too much paper," complained a seventh.

"I take photos of all the cups, plates etc left around the house and send the pics as individual messages to their phones," suggested a fellow parent instead.
