We've all been there - it's a sunny day and you can finally put your washing out on the line instead of leaving it to dry indoors, but you only have enough room for half the load.
It's a frustrating problem, especially when you have multiple loads of washing to get through in one day, but one mum online has seemingly come up with the perfect solution.
The mum-of-one shared a space-saving hack that frees up ample room on your washing line for the entire load, and people have been calling it "genius" - with some saying the trick is so simple, they can't believe they didn't think of it themselves.

All you have to do is put your clothes on coathangers instead so that they can hang from the line to dry like they would hang in a wardrobe, saving you space as well as time as the items are ready to be put away as soon as they're dry.
The woman, who posted her video on her @capricesmum TikTok account, said: "Does anyone else do this when they run out of space on the washing line?
"I place all the items on hangers and I place pegs in between them [on the line] to stop the hangers from sliding.
"As you can see, it frees up so much space on the washing line to allow for more clothes to dry."
Commenters on the video were blown away by the mum's trick, with many saying it seemed so simple now that she had pointed it out, but they'd never thought of it before.
One person said: "No [I don't do this] but I will be now. That's genius."
While another added: "What a fantastic idea! I’ll definitely be trying this, thanks sweet."
And a third wrote: "My mind is blown! I love this!"
Other commenters pointed out there were more benefits to drying clothes on hangers than just saving line space, as it also means you have less ironing to do and your clothes are ready to be put back in your wardrobe.
Someone stated: "Always dry clothes on coat hangers, less ironing!"
As someone else posted: "Oh my god why haven’t I tried this? Next time! Lifetime hack, straight from the line into the wardrobe."
