Mum shares 'fab' shower phone hack for her teen sons - but it grosses people out

When it comes to parenting, it can be frustrating spending money on things for your children, only for the items to end up broken five minutes later.

One mum was recently worried her teenage sons were going to break their expensive mobile phones, after they refused to stop taking them into the bathroom with them when they showered.

She was concerned the phones would end up being dropped in the water, so decided to come up with a way to prevent this from happening.

Eventually she figured out a simple hack to help - using mobile phone holders meant for the car.

The Australian parent bought a phone holder and attached it to the tiles in the bathroom, so the teens could use the phones without dropping them.

She shared her life hack on Facebook, in the group Cool Kmart Hacks & Styling Ideas, reports The Sun.

"My teenage boys would ALWAYS take their phones into the shower with them. No matter how many times I told them not to," the mum wrote.

"I was forever telling them they were going to drop it and I wasn’t getting them a new one. Until I come up with this fab idea."

She bought a car phone holder and stuck it to the wall (stock photo) (Amazon)

She added: "Went to my favourite shop and got some car phone holders. Yep, that did the trick."

Hundreds of people commented on the post, with many sharing their disapproval of the trick - due to what the boys were likely doing with their phones in the bathroom.

One person asked: "Have you questioned why they need to take their phones in the shower?"

A second said: "You have just set up hands-free porn stations in your shower."

"Easy way to take nudes, thanks mum," added a third.

However not everyone mocked the parent for her hack.

Someone else commented: "Everyone is just poking fun and having a giggle, we were all teenagers once and know exactly what that stand is getting used for."

Another replied: "Who cares if they take their phones in the shower, LoL. She's come up with a smart idea to keep an expensive piece of equipment safer than it would be otherwise."

Others dubbed the mum's hack "brilliant" and "clever".
