Everyone knows that the cold temperatures can make getting out of a warm bed nearly impossible.
But with the current cost of living crisis, having the heating on overnight just isn't an option for many people. Thankfully, one savvy mum has shared a couple of cheap hacks for warming up quickly in the morning.
She's claimed that they're especially useful if you have kids or teens in the house that refuse to get up and face the cold.
TikTokker @duchessofthrift often posts helpful cost of living tips on social media to her 30,000 followers. She's focused on being sustainable and limiting waste, as well as advising people how they can save money on energy bills.
And one of her latest videos about warming up in the morning has received hundreds of comments from other thankful parents.
In the clip, she said: "Let me show you my hack for beating the cold mornings, particularly for teenagers who don't want to get out of bed because it's cold."
She then showed a clip of an electric blanket on the bed in her own room, not the kids - because theirs are apparently "hovels".
The mum switches these on for herself and her children half an hour before they're due to get up, to give it enough time to warm up.
Then, she takes the clothes they'll wear on that day and slip them under the warm blanket so that they're heated up when it's time to get dressed.
She continued: "Equally, I do the same - I'll set my alarm, put my blanket on about 20 minutes before I get up, I've got my clothes next to the bed and I can just put those on.
"It does rely on you having a shower the night before, so obviously you don't want to have the shower freezing cold in the morning, so it's switching the routine up a bit."
People in the comments loved this idea, but some were blown away at how considerate the mum was being for her kids.
One joked: "I've got a different hack. I go in and flick the duvet off them and throw it to the other end of the room..."
And another said: "LOL!! You're kids are never gonna leave home!! - they'll still be with you in their 50's!!"
But others praised the savvy mum for sharing her hacks, with one writing: "This is a great idea. I had to put the heating on this morning, everything feels damp all the time."
Another added: "What a very good mother you are!"
