Police have confirmed there have been reports of a sexual assault in Maghull on Saturday night.
A woman in her 20s was walking along Deyes Lane on Saturday, August 28 between 9pm and 9.15pm when a man approached her.
The man spoke to her before raising his voice towards the woman and then sexually assaulting her.

He then walked away.
The ECHO believes the woman, a mum, was on her way home when the incident happened.
The man is described as white, in his late 20s, medium build with short dark hair.
A investigation is now underway and CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson told the ECHO: "We are investigating following reports a woman was sexually assaulted in Maghull on Saturday night, 28th August.
"The woman, who is in her 20s, was walking along Deyes Lane between 9pm and 9.15pm when a male approached and spoke to her.
"The male then raised his voice towards the woman before sexually assaulting her and walking away.
"He is described as a white male, in his late 20s, of medium build with short dark hair.
"An investigation is underway and CCTV and witness enquiries are in the process of being carried out."
