A mum served up egg and chips as a Halloween breakfast to her kids - but it was more trick than a treat.
The mum made the unusual serving and told the baffled youngsters to tuck in - but all wasn't as it seemed.
The mum had actually dished up 'chips' made of sliced apple and the egg was made of yoghurt with tinned peach on top.
The mum revealed she would trick her children with the bizarre breakfast every year on Halloween, but as they have grown older, they don't fall for it, but she encouraged other parents to have some fun with it.
Posting on the Family Lockdown Tips and Ideas Facebook page, she said: "TRICK or treat breakfast! My two are wise to this now, but it was a fun Halloween morning ‘trick’ to serve egg and chips for breakfast.
"(Half a tinned peach on yoghurt ‘egg’, peeled and sliced apple ‘chips’)"
Parents were impressed with the idea and couldn't wait to fool their own little ones for the spooky season.
One said: "Fab. I'm totally stealing this."
Another said: "This is brilliant , I did think those "chips" weren't cooked enough."
"Eggsellent idea," added another.
"Totally had me fooled! I did think your chips were anaemic!! Very good!!" said a fourth.
A fifth said: "That looks wicked. I need to do this Wow I really couldn't tell the difference."
"This brilliant, I thought it was egg and chips lol," added another.
