A woman who tested positive for coronavirus while pregnant has given birth to a healthy baby boy.
The mum, named only as Paula, was first admitted to the Royal Bolton Hospital 17 weeks into her pregnancy.
She fell seriously ill with coronavirus and had to be intubated in the critical care unit, reports Manchester Evening News.
Thankfully, medics were able to get her well again and home safely to continue her pregnancy.

Paula said: “I’m so pleased that the staff who cared for me on critical care have been able to see a picture of our son, they looked after me so well.
"It makes me happy that I know it will make them happy. I know I was very poorly and I am thankful to them.”
Matron Claire Partridge from the hospital said: “On behalf of the critical care nursing team we are just so thrilled to hear the news and to see both Paula and baby looking so well.
“We wish Paula and her family all the very best and sincere congratulations. This news has really boosted the team's spirits.”
The news comes as the UK's official coronavirus death toll has risen by 373 with the number of people vaccinated hitting 12 million.
A further 587 people died last Sunday, January 31, with 610 deaths recorded the week before that.
A total of 15,845 new infections have been registered in the last 24-hour period, according to official figures.
Last Sunday's number of cases stood at 21,080.
The official UK death toll across all settings, including hospitals and care homes, is 112,465.
A total of 12,014,288 have now received the first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.
That is a rise of 549,078 on yesterday's figures.
