A young mum has come out to tell her story about being intimidated by her child’s teacher over the contents of her lunchbox.
Taking to social media, the anonymous mother described the moment a ‘scary’ teacher challenged her on what was best for her daughter, saying she was feeding her too much.
According to her story, the teacher demanded to know why she had sent her little girl to school with so many snacks.
She explained that her child is an extremely fussy eater, and so it was better for her to have options in school, to ensure she actually eats something.
The mum usually packs lots of different snacks into her kids lunchbox, because one day she will love one type of food, and the next won’t go near it.
In her post on Facebook, she wrote: "I explained to her that she’s a fussy kid, so one day she will eat something the next day she will act like its poison and not touch it.
"I’m also trying to teach her a variety of foods because all this kid would eat is nuggets and sausages and eggs if I let her."

Alongside her account was an image of what her child’s lunchbox looks like on a normal day, packed with sandwiches, crackers, ham, grapes, yoghurt and popcorn as well as a few extra tubs containing a muffin, cookies and some extra popcorn.
She added: "Here is an example of her lunchbox. The banana muffin is for morning tea, often with a banana or grapes."
The mum then asked fellow parents for advice and whether they thought she had packed too much, saying: "This is my first baby in school, so yes I am still a newbie here."
Many people responded to the post, kicking off a heated debate in the comments with some parents angry on the mum's behalf, while others agreed with the teacher in saying it was way too much food.
One fellow parent wrote: "This infuriated me! Your child is fed, whether it’s too much, whether it’s not enough, whether it’s packaged, whether it’s organic.
"You are sending your child with something. You are trying. You are being a mother. You should NOT be questioned!"
Another said: I don’t think she has any business questioning what you pack your child, tell her to mind her own."
However, one person replied agreeing with the teacher and said; "Definitely too much food, kids are not encouraged to share as you never know what other kids are allergic to also some parents would not appreciate somebody feeding their kids sweet stuff like choco cookies..."
