Mum's witty response to neighbour's brutal note about baby's 'inconsiderate' crying

A mum who received a rude note from her neighbour about her baby has hit back in the best way.

Malaysian-based mum, Geralyn Amy Yeh, received a message from her neighbour about her five-month-old baby's crying.

The neighbour who wrote the letter is currently working from home during the coronavirus pandemic, but, is finding it hard to concentrate with the baby's moaning in the background.

So she left the mum a note asking her to "be more considerate" and to close any doors during the day so they can't hear the baby wailing.

The note read: "Hello, could you please close the door when baby crying during day time?

"Currently we’re working from home, please be more considerate" reported The Sun.

The mum also claims that her neighbour visited her home and complained to the woman's maid.

Stunned by her neighbour's actions, Geralyn posted a note of her own and shared it to Facebook.

The mum told her neighbour to seek advice from the police if her suggestions do not help (Geralyn Amy Yeh/Facebook)

She wrote: "For infant, they can get real irritating with their high pitch screaming or crying but that's the way they communicate and I do not have the magic to stop her from crying or make her grow up faster so that she can communicate without crying (sic)."

She also joked: "We gave her a stern warning on the day we received your feedback.

"I’m not sure if she quite understood it, but she did look serious after hearing it and gave a pity sad look."

Geralyn promised to keep the door closed as much as possible during the day, but said the "stuffy" weather may cause the baby to be "cranky".

Instead she suggested that her neighbours closed their door, and asked if they would consider wearing headphones to block out any noise.

She added: "I would appreciate you not to come over to shout or scold my helper as your behaviour have scared her and my baby (sic)."

After Geralyn sarcastically described her baby's cries as "noise pollution" she concluded by telling her neighbour to contact the authorities for any other suggestions.
