Mum's washing line hack to hang your clothes in seconds

A mum has shared her 'genius' washing line trick that will help you hang your clothes quickly.

With energy prices increasing many people will now be ditching their dryers and opting to hang their washing outside instead. But this can be quite a chore, especially if you've done a big load.

Luckily, one mum has shared her clever hack for hanging out her washing in a "speedy fashion". The woman's daughter, posting under the social media handle @ kira.bro1, took to TikTok to reveal just how proud her mother is for sharing this hack.

According to the Mirror, the footage voiceover and caption says: " My mum wanted the people of TikTok her washing line hack" and shows the cheery mum hanging out her washing in a speedy fashion.

Detailing exactly how the trick works, the woman grabs her washing line - the type that runs from one end of the garden to the other - and threads her pile of washing through it as she pulls it.

She then travels back to the other end of the line, dragging the washing pile along with her on top of the cord, and then proceeds to pull each item of clothing across the washing line in seconds, revealing perfectly hung washing without any of the faff.

The washing line cord essentially acts as a track for the washing to hang onto perfectly, without the need for pegs. Vest tops and T-shirts are shown threaded through the line, making the clever tip speedy but also effective, as each garment is hung out evenly.

The viral video, which has racked up millions of views on the platform, has left people mind-blown thanks to just how simple the washing trick is. Thousands of people flocked to the comments section to share how gobsmacked they were, eager to try the hack.

One TikTok user said: "Your mom is brilliant" while another added "superb idea". Many people were disappointed to have only come across the clever tip now after they'd wasted years faffing over the washing line.

One commenter wrote: "I’ve had these washing lines for seven years - why have I never thought of this?!! Genius!" while another said "work smarter not harder".

Others were quick to question what would happen if it started to rain, as the clothes being attached to the line could prove tricky to remove in a hurry.
