A mum warned tourists to stay away from a Liverpool apartment that was swamped with “pubic hairs”, “rubbish” and “fleas”.
Caroline Donnelly from Cumbernauld, Glasgow, came to the city for the weekend to celebrate her daughter’s 30th birthday with five friends. The mum-of-four's original accommodation was cancelled but the landlord quickly helped her find a new place to stay.
They helped rearrange the 54-year-old’s living arrangements and booked for the group to stay at OPP Apartment BC7 which was advertised as a “beautiful” Merseyside apartment.

Although the group were impressed with the photos they were disappointed after their visit. Caroline said her sister-in-law Anne-Marie was "bitten by fleas" and had to pay £11.99 for a cream from the local pharmacy to soothe the pain.
When Anne-Marie discovered the bites after sleeping on a sofa bed she decided to sleep on one of the apartment's double beds. However when she "ripped it up" Anne-Marie found stains on the sheets.
Caroline also claimed to find pubic hairs on one of the beds. Added to this there were missing screws and bolts from the chairs.
Caroline told the ECHO: “At first [the new flat] did look quite nice but it became apparent quite quickly that it was actually filthy. The photos of the apartment were gorgeous but it was nothing like that inside.
“I would recommend going to Liverpool, it's a fantastic city but I would not recommend this apartment… It's disgusting. The outside area was appalling, there was rubbish everywhere.
“That’s not the way to treat people. Even with a bit of compensation I would have been happy with.
“They were not going to do anything about it. It’s not right to take people’s money like that.”
The group paid £400 for two nights in the city on the FA cup final weekend between Friday, May 13 and Sunday, May 15.
In an email On Point Properties, who manage the apartment, told Caroline it had never had "reports of bites from this apartment". Pest control found no evidence that the holiday home was infested with "fleas or any other insects", according to the company.
On Point Properties Limited was contacted but declined to comment.
