One mum thought she would have to splash out on a new sofa after her little boy decided to decorate her cream one with a bright pink lipstick.

Jessica Hay left three-year-old Louis alone for a few moments when she did something in the kitchen - and he managed to complete ruin the sofa in just minutes, reports news.com.au .

"Just as I thought to myself, 'he's gone quiet', he walks into the kitchen looking like a vampire that’s had a great feast."

The little troublemaker had unzipped into his mum's handbag and taken out two of her lipsticks.

He had completely covered himself in the red and pink make up, including his face, hands and clothes.

"It's now looks like nothing ever happened, all evidence has been destroyed and everything back to the way it was."

However Jessica has urged parents to try a small section before they do the whole sofa - just in case it doesn't work on all fabrics.
