Mum's snap of huge Christmas present haul for toddler branded 'ridiculous'

A mum has sparked a heated debate after showing off her large Christmas gift haul for her toddler.

Casey shared photos of the dozens of presents she's already bought for her daughter for Christmas this year.

The gifts include dolls, Play-Doh, Toy Story figures and inflatable pool toys.

But that wasn't all as the mum, from Gold Coast in Australia, added she also has a bike, trampoline, a Barbie Dream House and more to pick up for her daughter.

Posting the photos on Facebook page Christmas Mums Australia, Casey said: “My Christmas stash for little miss two and still have about $1500 in laybys to pick up!

“Love you my little princess.”

Her post drew a mixed response. Some praised her organisation skills by already buying Christmas presents, but others slammed her for "spoiling" her daughter, 7News reports.

“I love this,” one said. “I have one daughter and I am exactly the same.

“Brush off the negative comments that will come and just do you.”

Another added: “We are exactly the same with our little miss four!

“We have so many items already in our roof stash not including an electric scooter, a frozen motorbike and a unicorn that you ride and it walks.

“We have also hired reindeer and snow for our front yard! they are only little once!”

But some were quick to criticise Casey.

“You’re setting her up for disappointment. Trust me!” one comment read.

“That’s ridiculous for a two-year-old,” another said.

“Put that money into a bank account for a uni fund or a car or a house. Something that is actually going to help her.”

Added another: “I’ve said it before - it’s about getting caught up in buying.

“If you look closely at the photos - there is duplication of gifts, particularly dolls and baby dolls. Two buzz light years?”
