We've all been there as adults and on the receiving end as kids.
Months of preparation for that magical Christmas can all unravel in seconds when you realise some gifts are missing the all important ingredient - batteiries.
And so it turns into a salvaging mission to find "spare" batteries in remotes and old toys so the kids can actually play with their toys.
Well one mum has come up with a very simple "Christmas morning box" which solves all of these problems, leaving you to enjoy a stress-free Christmas, reports the Mirror.
Kerry from Australia took to Facebook to post a photo of her hack, explaining the box is a life-saver when it comes to unpacking and assembling toys on December 25.
She wrote: "Does anyone else have a Christmas morning box?
"I always put one together so I'm not running around on Christmas morning trying to find scissors or batteries!
The simple idea proved to be a huge hit with others, with many praising Kerry's forward-thinking at a time when it can easily be forgotten with so many other jobs to get sorted before Santa visits.
One wrote: "This is such a great idea, I'll be making one today."
Another raved: "Best idea ever. I've spent the past three Christmases scrounging for batteries."
Others added their own suggestions to make it all a little easier, including a wide variety of batteries to prepare for every eventuality, string and even pen knives for those well wrapped pressies.
