Mum's incredible homemade Christmas wreath that cost less than £25 to make

You know it's Christmas when you start to see houses covered from top to bottom in festive lights and decorations, twinkling away as you drive past.

But one mum has hand made the ultimate Christmas decoration and it cost her less than £25.

The incredible Christmas wreath measures nearly a metre across at 47 inches and is made up of hundreds of different coloured baubles.

Mum-of-three Agija Williams made the wreath over a few days before heading off to her evening job as a printer.

She told the ECHO: "I saw the idea online and I love crafts so of course, I needed to make one for myself to go on the house.

"As I work part-time in the evenings I had the time, so I bought two pool noodles from a local sports shop.

"In the ends where they are attached, I pushed in metal rods from an old broom handle for extra safety, taped it and started to glue the baubles."

Agija made her Christmas wreath by glueing hundreds of baubles of a pool noodle frame (Agija Williams)

Agija glued every bauble individually on to the frame until it was complete.

The 34-year-old said: "I used a hot glue gun. All together it took me 10 hours and I used roughly 400 to 500 baubles.

"I used baubles from the loft that I had used in previous years and even had to get some from my sister.

"Then when it was finished I added a large light-up bow and wrapped around six-metre long Christmas lights."

Agija, from Telford, now plans to hang the front of the house between the second and first-floor windows along with her other Christmas decorations.

But what's most surprising is that Agija made the wreath for just £22.97.

She added: "The pool noodles were £5, glue sticks for the glue gun from Aldi were £3.99, the bow was £8.99 and Christmas lights £4.99 both from Poundstretcher.

"I already had the baubles, but if I had to buy them it would have been more expensive."
