Mum's 'impressive' kitchen concoction transforms step-daughter's mucky coat

As parents, it's expected that - no matter how hard you try - your kids will come home completely covered in dirt more often than you would like.

So it's important to always be stocked up on cleaning products to successfully rid the stubborn stains.

One savvy mum shared photos of her step-daughter's dirty coat to the Facebook group Mrs Hinch Made Me Do It and how she managed to clean it, despite cycles in the washing machine.

She said: "Other than it being a playing out coat I thought I had nothing to lose and would try it out my way".

"If it didn’t work we was going to get a new coat today for school tomorrow".

In a last attempt to fix the damage, she put together a random concoction of products from her kitchen, and she was amazed with how it turned out, reports The Sun .

She sprayed the entire coat with mould and mildew remover, before throwing it in the washing machine with a dishwasher tablet on a 90° wash.

She said: "The coat now looks brand-new and I’ve brushed the fur on the hood when it came out saved us a small fortune for a new coat."

And followers of the group were all shocked with the incredible transformation.

One said: "That is seriously impressive".

Another said: "Great job!".

And a third agreed: "Wow, looks great".
