Parents know this all too well: children coming back from a rainy day at school, with their coats all mucky with what seems to be an everlasting stain.
But a savvy mum found the perfect and easy solution to this problem, the Mirror report.
She shared her discovery on Mrs Hinch Made Me Do It Facebook group , pairing the post with before-and-after pictures of her step daughter’s disgusting coat.
She said: "Other than it being a playing out coat I thought I had nothing to lose and would try it out my way".
"If it didn’t work we was going to get a new coat today for school tomorrow".
The method consists of spraying the entire coat with mould and mildew remover, before throwing it in the washing machine with a dishwasher tablet on a 90° wash.
She said: "The coat now looks brand-new and I’ve brushed the fur on the hood when it came out saved us a small fortune for a new coat."
And followers of the group were all shocked with the incredible transformation.
One said: "That is seriously impressive".
Another said: "Great job!".
And a third agreed: "Wow, looks great".
