Mum's horror after discovering her husband spies on her through the baby monitor

A mum has revealed her horror at finding out her husband spies on her through her baby monitors when he is out the house.

The shocked mother made the creepy revelation anonymously on Mumsnet.com after realising her husband has been checking up on her when she is home alone with her children.

Posting on Mumsnet, she said: "We have a video baby monitor in our house to watch the baby, obviously! It’s always on.

"I’ve never thought much about it. It’s one of those that goes through to your phone and you can watch it wherever you are.

"However I’ve just found out that DH is logging in to it whilst he’s out and watching what’s going on when I’m by myself with kids.

"I don’t know how often or for how long. It does send notifications through to the phone when it senses movement. I’m not happy with this."

Fellow mums were quick to condemn the woman's husband, blasting him as abnormal and 'creepy.

One said: "Of course that’s not normal. Is he peculiar in other ways?"

Another said: "He's weird. Cover it or turn it off."

A third added: "Tell your DH (Darling Husband) you don’t like it and turn the monitor off. Is he normally controlling or is this out of character?"

A fourth said: "He shouldn't be invading your privacy. Why not switch it off when you're with the baby or cover it over? How did you find out he's doing this?"

Another added: "Creepy. Particularly if he didn't tell you that he is doing this."

However some women thought it was ok for the huband to be watching.

One said: "It could be seen as sweet but depends what he is usually like."

Another said the woman was 'the unreasonable one'

She said: "So he is not allowed to look at his children from work? It won't show much will it as I imagine children are not in the room the whole time are they? If you uncomfortable tell him, but you sound the unreasonable one."

Others were a little more on the fence. one said: "Maybe he's just bored at work and wants to see you and the baby.
"Maybe he's a controlling pervy stalker. Talk to him first."
