Mum's genius hack that will get kids choosing strawberries over sweeties

A creative mum has come up with a genius idea to get kids choosing strawberries over sweeties in the supermarket.

Exasperated mum Jane Stine was desperate for her kids to eat more fruit so came up with an amazing idea to make healthy food more attractive to children .

The mum's simple solutions is this: Get stickers of your child's favourite characters and place them on the fruit, veg and other foods you want your child to try and it will instantly become more attractive to them.

Jane Stine has come up with a great parenting hack (Facebook)

Mummy-blogger Jane said: "Here’s my best parenting hack. You know how kids always want Paw Patrol yogurt or Disney waffles or whatever?

"Bring your own stickers to the grocery store and start sticking. Today we’re having Winnie the Pooh brand spaghetti squash. It goes perfectly with Toy Story broccoli."

Jane's idea was posted on her own blog but quickly went viral and was shared on various parenting pages, including Facebook group The Motherload Community.

The post has had hundreds of replies from grateful mums all keen to try it out.

One mum said: "This is genius! My mum used to write our names on bananas and say she got them like that from the supermarket. It definitely made us more inclined to eat them!"

Another said: "I'm gutted my son is too old for this! Where were you five years ago?"

After seeing her post went viral American mum Jane, who is based in Thailand, said: "Becoming internet-famous for bestickering a squash actually seems pretty on-brand for me."
