A mum was left furious after a school nurse branded her four-year-old daughter ' overweight ' and slammed her lunchbox.
The woman sparked a debate online after sharing a picture of her daughter's packed lunch and explaining on social media what happened.
The lunchbox contained a mixture of healthy items, including carrot sticks, cucumber slices, fruit such as apple, pineapple, blueberries and watermelon as well as cheese and Ritz crackers, some mini veggie sausage rolls, muesli slices and a Petit Miam yoghurt.

Posting alongside this in the Lunchbox Ideas Australia group the mum explained the nurse had commented on her daughter's body mass index (BMI), reports dailytelegraph.com.au.
She said: "I was recently told by the health nurse that I needed to feed/offer my daughter more healthy options however this is a typical lunch for her.
"Homemade veg sausage rolls and homemade muesli bars included.
"The nurse had never seen our lunches but told me my child was overweight, she assumed I was not feeding her healthy foods and told me I need to offer healthier options because she is 'well above average'.
"I don't believe my daughter is overweight, she eats loads of fruit and veg and is healthy and happy. Still makes me cross!"
After reading the post scores parents shared supportive messages in the comments, agreeing that the lunch she had packed for her child looked "amazing" and "healthy".

One slammed the nurse as 'rude', adding: "Oh my god how rude. Take no notice of what she has said you have made a great lunch variety for your child and as long as they eat the foods and are happy what's wrong with it?"
Another said: "I'd be curious to know what training the health nurse received on nutrition during their time in university and prac? Lunchbox looks delish and balanced."
"I don't get it? There's lots of healthy options there, she's crazy - sometimes these nurses are just mean and wrong," admitted a third.
Someone else suggested the mum ask the nurse for suggestions on what she should be including in the lunchbox to see how it compares, or seek different health advice from an expert.
"Wow she would hate to see my son's lunchbox!" another parent said.
