Mum's faith in humanity restored after meeting stranger in hospital car park

A mum said her faith in humanity was restored after a kind-hearted stranger paid for her parking in a hospital car park.

The mum shared the feel-good story on her twitter account to "spread a little kindness". She was in the Alder Hey Children's Hospital car park on Monday, May 16 because her 12-month-old child was "very ill" and in A&E with breathing problems.

When she went to pay at the car park machine she found it was cash only and she only had her bank card. She asked a stranger walking past if he knew if there as another pay machine anywhere but "without even thinking" the man just gave her the £3 from his own pocket.

The mum added the man didn't know her situation or who she was but just gave her the money without even asking. She said the small act restored her faith in humanity and it "spread a little kindness".

She added: "It really meant a lot. I was a mum on my own with a very ill child and it helped so much."
