If you live in a large family with children, you're probably aware that toilet roll can disappear like it's going out of fashion. And with prices going up all the time, it's important to make things last as long as possible before being replaced.
And one savvy mum has shared a top tip to make toilet roll last longer. It's particularly useful if you live in a house with lots of children, BirminghamLive reports.
Writing on the Scrimping on a Budget Facebook page, she said: "My little tip for toilet paper especially if you have children. Squash the toilet roll once it’s on the holder.
"It stops them spinning it like it’s the wheel of bloody fortune and using loads of excess paper. Hope it helps someone."
Parents came to the post to praise the advice. One shopper said: "I have been doing this since my kids were small. They are all 40+ now"
Another said: "I did that years ago as well as having 2 young children of my own l was also a childminder & l could go through almost 2 rolls a day lol"
