Mum's breakfast hack makes mornings so much easier for busy parents

Weekday mornings can be an absolute nightmare for parents.

It can feel like an impossible task to get everyone up, ready, fed and out the door, all before you've had the chance to have your first coffee of the day.

Breakfast time can cause chaos as cereal, toast and milk fly around the kitchen, leaving you with a pile of dirty dishes and cutlery waiting for you when you come - when it begins all over again.

But one mum has been hailed 'pure genius' for her time-saving hack, making the first mealtime of the day quick and easy.

After sharing her tactics on Facebook , many other parents vowed to copy the idea for themselves and make the mornings that little less stressful.

She prepares them all ahead of time (Facebook)

Taking to the Aldi Mum's Facebook page, she revealed that she makes a week's worth of uncooked toasties, wraps them up individually and freezes them all in a bread bag.

Each morning, she grabs a couple out of the freezer and pops them in the toaster, and even takes her own to work, as reported by News.com.au .

She wrote: "Toasties are prepped and ready for the freezer for easy weekday brekkies!

"Works especially well when your workplace has a sandwich toaster.

"It’s great in the sandwich press when I get to work 20 mins later."

She stuffs the sandwiches with fillings including ham, cheese, red onion and chargrilled peppers, but says she avoids tomatoes as she's 'not a massive fan' and isn't sure how it tastes after being defrosted.

"I also bought some of the caramelised onion in a jar that I’ll put on the next batch with ham and cheese," she added.

"I use baking paper to wrap them. It means they’re easy to grab and I just open it up when I get to work so my toastie doesn’t get messy from people before me who don’t clean the press after use."

The post received hundreds of comments from others who were left wondering how they had never thought of the idea before.

One commented: "Simple and effective, well done, good for all the family."

A second replied: "This is pure genius. Wow!"

A third said: "OMG! I never thought of freezing them. This is my daughter and mine lunch every day."
