A single mum has shared a 'genius' idea which means parents without a partner still get gifts to open on Christmas Day.
The mum told other single parents there was simple way to make sure they don't wake up with nothing to open on Christmas morning.
Instead, the mum treated herself to some much-needed things and left them out with wrapping paper and a message from the Elf on the Shelf, for her kids to wrap them and hide from her on Christmas Day.

The mum said she seen the idea originally posted by a dad on the Family Lockdown Tips and Ideas Facebook.
Posting on the page to thank him, she said: "Thank you to the Dad who posted the idea for the Elf’s to leave some presents for the kids to wrap for us single parents.
"Left my girls a pile last night from the elves with wrapping paper and a message to wrap them and hide till Christmas.
"Here’s the finished result they have hidden under their beds and not even given the secret away.
"Can’t wait to act surprised and open them on Christmas Day."
The post attracted more than 33,000 likes and 1,000 comments from parents who loved the idea.
