Mum's babysitter ad has 14 'requirements' - she's unlikely to get many replies

When it comes to being a parent, the safety of your children is paramount and there's nothing most mums and dads wouldn't do to ensure their kid is happy and healthy.

But one over-protective mother has taken things a tad far in her search for someone to look after her little ones.

An unnamed mum-of-three recently posted an advert on Facebook seeking a babysitter in her local area - this was then shared on Reddit where users couldn't help but make fun of her lengthy list of demands.

The advert features 14 things the parent "requires" from any applicant, including "no tattoos" and "no traffic tickets".

If that weren't enough, the woman would also "ideally" like the person watching her kids to be a Trump supporter.

She says: "Looking for a babysitter in the area. PM me if you're interested, here are my requirements."

First up on the list is the requirement that candidates "have a Bachelors Degree in childcare OR nine years of relevant babysitting experience."

The woman went on to request that applicants have "full time availability" including weekends, they must also own a car and it is preferred that they speak a second language - which they can teach to her children.

As well as this, her perfect babysitter should also be a big fan of dogs and be able to handle her two pittbulls, be "willing to pay for some snacks" for the children, have no sketchy pictures on social media and "must be ok with emergency last minute calls".

In exchange for agreeing to all her bizarre terms, the woman is offering a salary of $10 (£7.85) an hour "under the table cash", which she explains is "like making $15/hr normally but without paying tax".

She finishes the post by writing: "Serious inquiries ONLY".

So far more than 1,100 people have commented on the Reddit thread, with many mocking the mum's ad.

One person commented: "Nine years experience is very specific!! Also, would be worried about someone who had the degree and/or experience but was still willing to graft for $10 an hour."

Another wrote: "The ideal babysitter must have 'NO problems with the law' but its okay for this choosy beggar to illegally dodge tax."

A third added: "When I got to 'Ideally a Trump fan', the puzzle pieces started to come together."
